The minimum attendance of Student Teachers shall have to be 80% for all course work and 90% for EPC, School Internship and all activities failing which the discontinuance of the course will be attracted. Student Teacher who fails to attend his/her classes over a certain period of time at a stretch on a reasonable and acceptable ground (such as accidents and its related treatments, serious diseases or death of near and dear ones) must apply immediately to the principal for consideration or examination of the absence for the period. Attendance and participation in all the practical works, seminars, curricular, co-curricular activities, etc. will be taken into account regularly for the continuous and comprehensive evaluation related to internal assessment. Attendance is recorded through Bio-metric.
- Student Teachers are permitted a maximum of 3 (Three) days of leave of absence for non-medical reasons in a given Semester. Leave should be obtained in advance by the Student Teacher.
- In special cases, a maximum of 7 (Seven) days of leave of absence shall be permitted with prior approval from the Principal. Leave for weddings of immediate family can be granted for 3 (Three) days but on producing of wedding card. In cases of weddings outside the state of Nagaland, not more than 7 days leave shall be granted. Such leaves should be granted by the Principal of the college in advance.
- Further, only 1 (one) half-day leave shall be entertained on reasonable grounds in a given Semester.
- Not withstanding the above, a Student Teacher can avail leave on medical grounds provided that a medical certificate/prescription is obtained from registered medical practitioner for the entire period, and at the same time, such medical certificate/prescription is counter-signed by the Parents / Guardians. However, leave on medical grounds should not exceed more than 15 (Fifteen) days including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Student Teachers who miss classes for 45 days (working days) due to medical reasons will be asked to take a Semester break.
- Parents/Guardians should intimate to the College Authority for leave when a Student Teacher is absent and undergoing medical treatment within/outside the state.
- Leave for events will be granted for those student teachers who are taking part in National/State/District/University/Inter-College levels only.
- Prolonged absence of a student for consecutive 10 (Ten) days without leave will lead to termination or suspension of the admission of the Student Teacher in the college.
- Attendance will be taken twice in a day from bio-metric on any activity and after the end of the activity all the attendance records will be handed over to the principal.
- A fine of ₹ 500/- will be imposed if a Student Teacher is absent in any activity without prior permission of the Principal.
