Unity College of Teacher Education, Dimapur, organized a farewell programme for the 4th semester student-teachers (batch 2023–2025) on 3rd June 2025, themed “From Learners to Leaders.” The event held in the college Seminar Hall, was coordinated by the 2nd Semester student-teachers and led by Ms. Meilem M (B.Ed 2nd Semester).
The formal session commenced at 2:30 p.m. with an invocation by Ms. Imyatetla Longumer (2nd semester), seeking blessings for the occasion. This was followed by a motivating exhortation by Dr. Akala Longkumer, the Principal of UCTE. A special song was then performed by the 2nd semester students, adding a musical touch to the occasion. Ms. Bensuliu N. Chawang addressed the gathering on behalf of the juniors, expressing appreciation, admiration, and best wishes to the seniors. Tokens of love in the form of gifts were presented to the outgoing batch by their juniors. Representing the 4th semester, Ms. Mhabeni Shitiri shared words of reflection and gratitude. The session came to a close with a special prayer by Ms. Ghukhali Chophy, Assistant Professor of UCTE.
The informal session showcased a variety of engaging performances, including solo, duet, and group dances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Sehochem Sangtam (2nd Semester), followed by a dinner, marking the end of an evening filled with emotion, celebration, and camaraderie.
