Department of Teacher Education, Unity College Dimapur organised a Farewell Program for
the outgoing batch on the 27th May, 2026 themed “Crossing the Treshold.“
The program was held in the seminar hall and coordinated by the student-teachers of the 2nd
Semester. Ms. Retongsangla, 2nd Semester, compered the event.
The formal session began at 11:00 AM with an invocation by Ms. Alen K, 2nd Semester, seeking blessings for the proceedings. This was followed by an exhortation by Mrs Paulina Whourie, Asst. Professor, Unity College. Ms. Orenponi Lotha, 2nd Semester, addressed the gathering on behalf of the junior student-teachers, while Ms. Bilgah T shared reflections and expressed gratitude on behalf of the outgoing batch.
Dr. Akala Longkumer, Vice Principal & HoD, Department of Teacher Education, conveyed appreciation and extended best wishes to the outgoing student-teachers.
The session also featured a captivating solo performance by Ms. Lea T. Awomi, 2nd Semester. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms J. Ilo Ayemi, 2nd Semester. The formal program concluded with a special blessing for the outgoing batch by Dr. Kenieviu Rhatsu, Asst. Professor, Unity College.
The informal session included a variety of engaging performances, followed by a photo session and lunch.
