The Research and Development Cell, UCTE successfully organized the release of a book titled
“Teacher Education: Perspectives and Practices” on 21st January 2026 by the Chairman of the Board
Mr. M. Patton. He congratulated and encouraged academic writing as a progress towards change
and enhances the quality of the teaching learning transactions. The program was chaired by Dr.
Keneivi-u Rhatsu, member of the R&D cell, along with the Co-Ordinator, Dr. Toreiphi Mungleng
sharing on the process of the book highlighting a brief background and appreciating the faculty for
the efforts put into the contribution of chapters in spite of their academic engagements. The
Principal of UCTE, Dr. Akala Longkumer further expressed her appreciation and gratitude towards
the Board for the moral and financial support towards the publication of the book. A note of
gratitude was also extended to Prof. T. G. Amuthavalli for the special paper contribution which
further enriched the quality of the book. The program was attended by the Chairman of UCTE,
Administrator, Principal- Unity College, Principal and Faculties of UCTE and Student-Teachers of 4th
Semester, UCTE.
