Unity College of Teacher Education (UCTE), Dimapur organized 2 Days National Seminar on “Teacher Education for Sustainable Development: A Road Map for 21^st Century” at Seminar Hall on 23^rd & 24^th March, 2023. The conference was granted by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. At the inaugural session of the seminar, Dr. Timir Tripathi, Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Kohima Region Centre, Nagaland, highlighted about the importance of 21^st century skills development in all students, teachers subject knowledge, best practices, role, duties and responsibilities in the society. He congratulated the college for the novel initiative of involving student teachers, faculty and research scholars through the means of the seminar as they are an important target group of the 21^st century sustainability and future developments. Dr. Gyanendra Nath Tiwari Sir, Professor, Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University, Nagaland, as a keynote speaker, mentioned that the topic of this seminar is highly relevant today, this is the appropriate time to discuss this kind subthemes and presentations leads to the road map towards 21^st century sustainable development goals in the state and country. On this occasion, 2^nd Semester student teachers of college excellently performed “AXONE”: A Play from Naga Folklore and applauded by all the audiences. The overall report was given by the seminar convener Dr. Kotra Balayogi, Assistant Professor and Vice Principal, UCTE. The seminar witnessed five sessions where all together there were five invited speakers, eleven paper presenters from the universities and educational institution from states like New Delhi, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Andhra Pradesh, and nearly 130 participants attended for the seminar.
